• DFPR assumes authority to issue, renew, refuse, and revoke licenses for day care centers and part day child care facilities, including setting standards and procedures for licensure.

• DFPR may issue 6-month permits to new day care centers and part day child care facilities to allow reasonable time to become eligible for full licenses.

• DCFS and DFPR must coordinate on reporting requirements, database maintenance, toll-free information services, and annual progress reports to the General Assembly regarding child day care licensing performance measures.
