IL SB1416

Amends aggravated assault law to include assault against a contractor (not just subcontractor) of the Department of Human Services supervising or controlling sexually dangerous persons or sexually violent persons.

Expands aggravated battery protections to include officers and employees of contractors or subcontractors of the Department of Human Services supervising or controlling sexually dangerous persons or sexually violent persons.

Changes apply to assaults and batteries committed while the victim is performing official duties, being assaulted to prevent performance of duties, or being assaulted in retaliation for performing duties.
