Highway commissioners may contract with common interest community associations (if the association comprises 50% or greater of the township or road district population) to furnish materials for road maintenance or repair.

Common interest community associations may contract with highway commissioners of road districts where they are located (if comprising 50% or greater of the township or road district population) to furnish materials for road maintenance or repair.

Purchases by common interest community associations under these road maintenance contracts must be included in the board's finance report as outlined in Section 1-45.

The bill amends both the Illinois Highway Code (Section 6-201.10-1) and the Common Interest Community Association Act (Section 1-30) to establish the mutual contracting authority between highway commissioners and qualifying community associations.
