SB1480 - Statement of Economic Interest

• Requires all six questions on the statement of economic interest form to be answered by the person filing the statement.

• The Secretary of State cannot accept or issue a receipt for a statement of economic interest unless it is verified, dated, signed, and has all questions answered.

• County clerks cannot accept or issue a receipt for a statement of economic interest unless it is verified, dated, signed, and has all questions answered.

• Amends the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act by modifying Sections 4A-103, 4A-106, and 4A-106.5 to enforce complete and signed disclosure requirements.
