IL SB1493

Amends the Project Labor Agreements Act to apply to public works projects totaling $15,000,000 or more in costs.

Requires State departments, agencies, authorities, boards, or instrumentalities under the Governor's control to include project labor agreements on qualifying projects on a project-by-project basis.

Allows inclusion of project labor agreements when the State entity determines the agreement advances interests in cost, efficiency, quality, safety, timeliness, skilled labor force, labor stability, or minority/women-owned business advancement.

Designates corrective actions performed under Title XVI of the Environmental Protection Act funded by the Underground Storage Tank Fund as public works projects subject to this requirement.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
