SB1790 Summary

• Repeals Sections 4-4, 4-5, and 4-6 of the Legislative Commission Reorganization Act of 1984.

• Modifies the Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability's annual appropriations summary report deadline to be published by August 1st each year, or within 60 days after appropriations enactment if no appropriations are enacted by July 1st.

• Requires the appropriations summary report to be published on the General Assembly's website and removes the requirement for publication in newspapers of general circulation statewide.

• Changes the timing for the Commission's revenue estimate report from the convening of the legislative session to by the third Wednesday in March, with an alternative deadline of within 14 days after the Governor's budget address, whichever is later.

• Modifies Section 4(b) to require the Commission to issue estimated pension funding requirements and state employee health insurance liabilities by the third Wednesday in March or within 14 days after the Governor's budget address, whichever is later.
