Changes financial literacy from an optional course to a required course for pupils entering 9th grade in the 2023-2024 school year, as part of the two-year social studies requirement.

For the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years, financial literacy remains optional (may be included); beginning 2023-2024, one semester or part of one semester must include financial literacy.

Beginning with the 2024-2025 school year, establishes new graduation requirements including mandatory computer literacy instruction and laboratory science courses.

Beginning with the 2028-2029 school year, adds a requirement for two years of foreign language courses (which may include American Sign Language) for high school diploma.

Exempts students with disabilities whose course of study is determined by an individualized education program from these new requirements; takes effect July 1, 2023.
