IL SB1845

Transfers responsibility for reviewing information technology accessibility standards from the Department of Human Services to the Department of Innovation and Technology.

Requires the Department of Innovation and Technology to review accessibility standards in calendar year 2023 and at least every 3 years thereafter, amending standards as needed to reflect technological advances.

Removes the specific reference to the Director of Central Management Services from the requirement that State entities review and incorporate amended standards into their procurement policies within 6 months of publication.

Amended accessibility standards apply to electronic and information technology developed, procured, or substantially modified by State entities after the standards are incorporated into procurement policies and procedures.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
