IL SB2093

Amends the Illinois Diseased Animals Act to authorize the Director of Agriculture to declare temporary prohibitions on the sale, movement, or exhibition of certain animal types to prevent or reduce disease spread.

Temporary declarations are limited to a maximum of 30 days, but may be extended in successive 30-day increments if conditions warrant further restrictions.

Preserves existing authority for the Director to request gubernatorial proclamations quarantining affected municipalities or geographical districts for animals diseased or contaminated.

Maintains existing requirements for animal owners to report the number, description, location, and ownership details of affected animals within one week of quarantine proclamation publication.
