IL SB2148

Amends the Interscholastic Athletic Organization Act by adding Section 1.25 regarding equal participation in athletic events.

Prohibits athletic associations or entities that promote, sponsor, or regulate interscholastic athletics from adopting or maintaining rules that deny equal access based on whether a student attends a public school, nonpublic school, or home school.

Requirement applies only to associations or entities that receive membership dues or fees from any public elementary or secondary school governing body in Illinois.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
