IL SB2176

Amends the Illinois Insurance Code to require individual and group accident and health insurance policies amended, delivered, issued, or renewed in Illinois on or after the effective date to cover specified health benefits for individuals ages 55-65.

Mandates coverage for single abdominal aortic aneurysm screening, alcohol misuse screening and counseling, and high blood pressure and cholesterol screenings.

Requires coverage for depression screening, diet counseling, obesity screening and counseling, and fall prevention services including exercise, physical therapy, and prescription vitamin D.

Mandates coverage for disease screenings including hepatitis B and C, HIV, syphilis, and tuberculosis, as well as lung cancer screening for high-risk individuals.

Requires coverage for immunizations against varicella, diphtheria, influenza, hepatitis A and B, measles, meningococcal disease, mumps, pertussis, pneumococcal disease, rubella, and tetanus, plus statin medication and sexually transmitted infection prevention counseling.
