Community college districts must provide individualized disaggregated data on student enrollment in remediation courses to requesting high school districts within their boundaries, effective January 1, 2024.

A signed remediation data sharing agreement between school districts and community college districts is required before any data sharing occurs.

Student records must be identified by state identification number and last previous high school, and include course codes, names, titles, and academic departments for mathematics, reading, English, communications, and other remedial or noncredit-bearing courses.

The agreement must specify data format, sharing method, and provide for annual data delivery within a reasonable timeframe following each academic year, and prohibit use of the data in evaluation of licensed educators.

If the parties cannot reach agreement within 90 calendar days, they must implement a model remediation data sharing agreement to be developed by the Illinois Community College Board and State Board of Education by January 1, 2024.
