IL SB2304

Amends the Election Code to make vote center provisions permanent by removing the July 1, 2023 repeal date.

Requires election authorities to identify vote center locations, hours of operation, and health and safety requirements by the 40th day preceding any election (rather than only for the 2022 primary and general elections).

Mandates election authorities certify vote center information to the State Board of Elections.

Vote centers allow all voters in a jurisdiction to vote on election day regardless of their registered precinct, with at least one location required at the election authority's office or the largest municipality in its jurisdiction.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
