IL SB2327

Lowers the cost threshold for state reimbursement of special education program costs for students attending Tier 1 or 2 schools from 4 times to 3 times the district's per capita tuition rate.

Maintains the existing 4 times per capita tuition rate threshold for state reimbursement of special education program costs for students attending Tier 3 or 4 schools.

State Board of Education shall pay costs exceeding the applicable threshold using unexpended IDEA discretionary funds originally designated for room and board reimbursement.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
