Establishes a competitive Computer Science Equity Grant Program administered by the State Board of Education to support development and enhancement of K-12 computer science programs.

Eligible applicants include regional offices of education, intermediate service centers, state higher education institutions, laboratory schools, and school districts.

Grant funds may be used to expand computer science coursework aligned to state standards, provide teacher professional development, supply classroom materials and equipment, and recruit underrepresented students into computer science.

Applications must demonstrate need using local and state data, include a sustainability plan, and propose continuous improvement measures; priority consideration given to proposals serving students or teachers underrepresented in computer science.

Grants may be renewed up to 2 additional times if the entity completes required reporting and meets program objectives; funding levels may be prorated based on appropriated amounts.
