Requires group and individual accident and health insurance plans and managed care plans amended, delivered, issued, or renewed after January 1, 2026 to cover one wig or scalp prosthesis at least once every 12 months for hair loss caused by alopecia, chemotherapy, radiation treatment for cancer, or other conditions.

Adds Section 356z.61 to the Illinois Insurance Code establishing the wig and hair prosthesis coverage requirement.

Applies the new wig coverage requirement to Health Maintenance Organizations by adding Section 356z.61 to the list of applicable Insurance Code provisions in Section 5-3 of the Health Maintenance Organization Act.

Applies the wig coverage requirement to health services plan corporations under the Voluntary Health Services Plans Act by adding Section 356z.61 to the applicable Insurance Code provisions in Section 10.
