Adds Section 355.6 to the Illinois Insurance Code effective January 1, 2026, requiring accident and health insurance policies and managed care plans to offer multiple payment methods to contracted health care providers, including checks and electronic funds transfer.

Prohibits insurers and managed care plans from mandating payment by credit card (defined as single-use or virtual credit cards in any format).

Requires insurers or managed care plans to notify health care providers of any fees associated with payment methods and provide clear instructions on selecting each method before making first payment or changing available methods.

Mandates implementation of requested payment method changes within 30 business days, subject to federal and state fraud prevention measures.

Prohibits insurers and managed care plans from considering a health care provider's preferred payment method as a factor in credentialing decisions.
