IL SB2789

Amends the Illinois Insurance Code by adding Section 356z.71 regarding accident and health insurance policies.

Prohibits insurance companies from amending, delivering, issuing, or renewing individual or group accident and health insurance policies in a way that changes an insured's eligibility or coverage during a contract period.

Requires insureds to maintain protection and continuity of their healthcare providers, medications, covered benefits, and formulary throughout the contract period.
