IL SB2825

Amends Section 29-3 of the School Code to allow a pupil's parent or guardian to designate more than one home address for transportation purposes if the parent or guardian has shared custody of the pupil at a different address within the school district

Applies to school districts that are required to provide free transportation for pupils residing one and one-half miles or more from school

Permits parents/guardians with shared custody to identify multiple residences within the district, enabling the pupil to receive transportation from either address

Does not change existing requirements that school boards provide free transportation for eligible pupils or the one and one-half mile distance threshold
