IL SB2834

Amends the Mobile Home Landlord and Tenant Rights Act to prohibit park owners from evicting tenants for non-payment of rent if the park has not applied for or renewed its license and failed to submit all required fees under the Mobile Home Park Act.

Adds a new prohibition preventing eviction as retaliation for non-payment of rent when the park operator has failed to obtain or renew its license and submit required fees.

Reorganizes Section 15 by renumbering subsections (a)-(c) as (1)-(3) to clarify the three statutory grounds for eviction: non-payment of rent, failure to comply with park rules, and failure to comply with local ordinances and state laws.

Maintains existing protections against retaliatory evictions for tenant efforts to enforce legal rights, complaints to government authorities, homeowners' association activities, and immigration/citizenship status.
