IL SB2932

Adds Section 29-21 to the Election Code to prohibit intimidation, threats, coercion, violence, or force against election workers with specific intent to impede their duties, induce violation of election laws, or retaliate for official duties.

Defines "election worker" as election officials, poll workers, or election volunteers administering elections for local, state, or federal office.

Specifies election-related duties including creating/distributing ballots, registering voters, operating polling places, processing voters, tabulating ballots, and certifying election results.

Makes violations a petty offense punishable by a fine of not more than $1,000.
