IL SB3076

Amends the Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140/5) to require public bodies to include identification and plain-text descriptions of each field and information category in their databases on lists of available records

Requires public bodies to provide sufficient descriptions of database structures to enable requesters to request specific database queries from the public body

Mandates that public bodies furnish descriptions of how electronically stored public records can be obtained in a form understandable to non-technical persons

Applies to public records prepared or received after the Act's effective date
