SB3093 Summary

• Requires Department of Revenue to file notice with Liquor Control Commission when a retail alcoholic liquor licensee's certificate of registration is denied or revoked under the Retailers' Occupation Tax Act, with certification signed by Director of Revenue.

• Liquor Control Commission must inactivate the license of any retailer upon receiving notice that their certificate of registration has not been renewed or has been revoked.

• Inactivated licenses remain inactive until Department of Revenue notifies Commission that the violation has been remedied and the certificate of registration has been reinstated.

• Prohibits distributors from selling alcoholic liquor to retailers with inactive licenses and prohibits those retailers from purchasing alcoholic liquor or engaging in any other licensed activity.

• Effective immediately upon enactment.
