SB3190 Summary

• Allows concealed carry licensees to carry firearms in Illinois Department of Transportation rest areas and buildings located within those rest areas, exempting them from the prohibition on carrying firearms in government-controlled buildings.

• Eliminates the prohibition against carrying firearms on buses, trains, or public transportation paid for with public funds, and on property controlled by public transportation facilities.

• Eliminates the prohibition against carrying concealed firearms in public parks, athletic areas, and athletic facilities under municipal or park district control.

• Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
