IL SB3193

Eliminates the prohibition on carrying concealed firearms on public transportation (buses, trains) and in buildings, real property, and parking areas of public transportation facilities.

Removes language from Section 65(a)(8) of the Firearm Concealed Carry Act that previously banned firearms on any publicly-funded transportation and related facilities.

Maintains all other prohibited areas for concealed carry including schools, courthouses, hospitals, mental health facilities, correctional institutions, airports, stadiums, and areas where firearms are prohibited under federal law.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
