Beginning with the 2024-2025 school year, school boards shall conduct in-service training at least once every 2 years for all school district employees on how to identify trafficking in persons under Section 10-9 of the Criminal Code of 2012.

Creates a new Section 34-18.85 in the School Code establishing the trafficking in persons training requirement as a standalone provision.

Amends Section 10-22.39 to add subsection (i) incorporating the same trafficking identification training mandate for consistency across the School Code.

Makes technical and revisory changes to existing in-service training provisions in Section 10-22.39.

Bill is effective immediately upon enactment.
