IL SB3300

Requires the Department on Aging to develop and implement a Senior Corps Program by January 1, 2025 to help Illinois residents aged 55 and older find volunteer or meaningful service employment opportunities.

Program shall provide job training and skill development opportunities to increase job marketability for eligible participants.

Mandates annual reports to the Governor and General Assembly beginning January 1, 2026 including: total program participants, volunteer and reemployment placements, unsuccessful placements with reasons, and types of businesses/nonprofits involved.

Grants the Department authority to adopt rules necessary for program implementation and administration.

Effective date: July 1, 2024.
