IL SB3336

Adds paragraph (18) to the definition of "practice of pharmacy" to permit pharmacists to order testing, screening, and treatment for influenza.

Modifies paragraph (17) to clarify that pharmacists may order and administer tests and screenings for SARS-CoV-2 and health conditions identified by statewide public health emergency (removes influenza from this section).

Updates the Illinois Insurance Code Section 356z.63 to require health insurance plans amended, delivered, issued, or renewed on or after January 1, 2025 to cover pharmacist-provided services including those under paragraphs (15), (16), (17), and (18) of the Pharmacy Practice Act definition.

Effective January 1, 2025.
