• Illinois State Police must notify investigating law enforcement agencies in writing within 7 days when DNA analysis identifies a consistent profile match from suspect standards or CODIS database.

• Investigating agencies must acknowledge receipt within 5 days, provide additional match information if requested, and notify the survivor of the DNA match or provide an estimated disclosure date if disclosure would interfere with investigation or prosecution.

• Investigating agencies must report to Illinois State Police within 30 days whether the DNA-matched individual is a suspect and submit that individual's DNA profile for analysis if they are a suspect.

• The sexual assault evidence tracking system must allow law enforcement to prohibit victim access to DNA match information and follow-up investigation details when disclosure would interfere with the investigation or prosecution of the crime.

• Law enforcement agencies must continue reasonable efforts to notify survivors if they cannot reach them within the initial 5-day notification period.
