Establishes a 3-year direct support professional credential pilot program within the Division of Developmental Disabilities, beginning in Fiscal Year 2025, to help workers obtain credentials in developmental disabilities fields.

Pilot program will assess how state-administered credentials improve recruitment and retention of direct support professionals, enhance competence, and advance health and safety standards.

Division must produce a report detailing recruitment and retention rates of participating versus non-participating providers, number of professionals credentialed, and quality of supports provided to persons with developmental disabilities.

State Board of Education must develop a model program of study for direct support professional training available to high schools beginning in the 2026-2027 school year for at least 2 years.

State Board of Community Colleges must submit recommendations for a credit-bearing model program of study by July 1, 2026, and make the program available to community colleges starting in the 2026-2027 academic year for at least 2 years.
