IL SB3436

Amends the Aid to the Aged, Blind or Disabled (AABD) program to establish phased increases in cash assistance based on federal poverty level percentages.

Requires total monthly income (countable sources, SSI benefits, and AABD aid) to reach 85% of federal poverty level beginning July 1, 2024, increasing to 90% (July 2025), 95% (July 2026), and 100% (July 2027).

Prohibits any reduction in aid for persons already determined eligible for AABD prior to July 1, 2024.

Defines "federal poverty level" as the poverty guidelines updated periodically in the Federal Register by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Becomes effective immediately upon enactment.
