IL SB3539

Amends the Paid Leave for All Workers Act by modifying the definition of "employee" under 820 ILCS 192/10.

Excludes election judges from the definition of "employee" for purposes of paid leave requirements.

Excludes short-term workers hired to oversee and facilitate elections from the definition of "employee" for purposes of paid leave requirements.

Maintains existing exclusions for railroad employees, students at their employer institution of higher education, and short-term higher education employees working less than 2 consecutive calendar quarters per year.
