Creates the Abuse and Corruption by Public Officials in the City of Chicago Task Force to study the economic and social impact of abuse and corruption by public officials and develop policies to prevent future misuse of power.

Task Force membership includes one state senator from Chicago, one state representative from Chicago, two community/criminal justice organization representatives, two business community representatives, one person affected by official abuse or corruption, and the Chicago Police Department Superintendent (ex officio, nonvoting), all appointed by the Governor within 30 days of enactment.

Task Force shall meet at least 4 times beginning within 60 days of enactment, with members serving without compensation and selecting a chair and vice-chair.

Task Force must review research, data, and best practices, take expert witness testimony, and submit a report to the General Assembly and Governor by June 30, 2026 detailing findings, recommendations, and needed resources.

Act repeals and Task Force dissolves on January 1, 2027; Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority provides administrative and technical support.
