SB3610 Summary

• Deletes budget adoption and reporting requirements for the Department of Juvenile Justice School District Board of Education, eliminating the need to submit annual budgets to the Department of Corrections and State Board of Education.

• Removes the provision permitting commitment of a guilty minor to the Department of Juvenile Justice for Class 3 or Class 4 felony violations of the Illinois Controlled Substances Act upon a third or subsequent judicial finding of probation violation for noncompliance with court-ordered treatment or programming.

• Becomes effective immediately upon passage.
