Establishes the Illinois Coordinate System Act of 2024 to compile accessible, accurate, and reliable geospatial data for use in surveying, engineering, construction, and geographic information systems

Creates the Illinois Coordinate System Committee chaired by the Secretary of Transportation, consisting of representatives from state agencies (Natural Resources, Agriculture, Illinois State Police, State Toll Highway Authority), the Illinois Center for Geographic Information, and three members from professional organizations (land surveyors, geographic information systems professionals, and engineers) appointed by the Governor

Committee shall create, review, and revise the Guide to the Illinois Coordinate System, which defines various plane coordinate systems and establishes standards for geospatial data used in Illinois

Guide must contain metadata identifying geodetic reference frames, datums, epochs, units of measurement, and projections for all coordinate data intended as public records

Guide shall be made publicly available through the Illinois Geospatial Data Clearinghouse or other public source approved by the Committee
