IL SB3638

Amends the Interscholastic Athletic Organization Act to require associations or entities governing high school athletics to create regulations for trap and skeet shooting teams, clubs, and activities by the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year.

Required regulations must address transportation, management and storage of firearms and equipment, practices, competitions, safety procedures, and emergency procedures for trap and skeet shooting.

Defines trap and skeet shooting as the sport of shooting at projectiles such as clay pigeons launched upward, vertically, or horizontally to simulate bird flight.

Regulations must be publicly posted and available on the association's or entity's Internet website.

Effective immediately upon enactment.
