Insurers must cover all services rendered by perinatal doulas and licensed certified professional midwives, including home births, home visits, labor support, and support during abortion or miscarriage, with necessary equipment and supplies for home births.

Insurance coverage must include home visits by lactation consultants and purchase of breast pumps, breast pump supplies, breastfeeding supplies, and feeding aides as recommended by lactation consultants.

All pregnancy, postpartum, and newborn care coverage must be provided without cost-sharing requirements, with an exception for high-deductible health plans to maintain health savings account eligibility.

Postpartum services coverage must apply for at least one year after birth under insurance policies.

Medical Assistance program must cover postpartum care without cost-sharing, including home visits for lactation counseling, breast pumps and supplies, perinatal doula services, and licensed certified professional midwife services, with no limits on the number of lactation visits or supplies provided.
