Requires group and individual accident and health insurance policies and managed care plans amended, delivered, issued, or renewed on or after July 1, 2024 to provide full coverage for one annual PET scan per insured age 35 or older.

Coverage applies regardless of whether a physician ordered the PET scan or whether the insured displays symptoms.

Defines positron emission tomography (PET scan) as an imaging technique using radiotracers to measure metabolic and physiological processes.

Cites findings that PET scans have a 92.5% diagnostic success rate for detecting tumors and cancer, and that cancer risk increases exponentially beginning at age 45.

Effective immediately upon enactment.
