Changes the Medication Aide Pilot Program to a permanent Certified Medication Aide Program administered by the Department of Public Health instead of the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.

Expands eligible employers from long-term care facilities to assisted living and shared housing establishments licensed by the Department of Public Health.

Removes the requirement that certified medication aides have a Five Star Quality Rating of 3, 4, or 5 from Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Changes all references from "licensed" to "certified" medication aides throughout the Article and removes the restriction that licenses cannot be renewed or restored.

Extends the reporting deadline to the General Assembly regarding patient safety, efficiency, and errors from 6 months to one year after implementation.
