IL SB3813

Amends the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act to add Section 7.5a protecting Department of Children and Family Services caseworkers, including intact family specialists and placement specialists.

Allows caseworkers who have received credible threats of violence from a parent, guardian, or other responsible adult during a prior home visit to request law enforcement accompaniment on subsequent home visits for that child.

Permits caseworkers to alternatively request the Department reassign the child's case to another caseworker instead of requesting police accompaniment.

Requires law enforcement officers to make all reasonable efforts to assist caseworkers in obtaining law enforcement assistance from other police jurisdictions outside the primary accompanying officers' jurisdiction.
