Amends the Higher Education Student Assistance Act to create a medical education grant program administered by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission, subject to appropriation.

Establishes eligibility for grants to include Illinois residents accepted to medical or osteopathic colleges in Illinois who demonstrate financial need, and residents holding Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathy, or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degrees accepted to residency or specialty training in Illinois hospitals.

Grants may cover nontuition costs of medical education and training, including living expenses, for eligible medical students and resident or fellow physicians.

Program goals include attracting capable students to medicine, increasing employment and retention of physicians in clinical training, and reducing financial barriers in the medical profession.

Effective July 1, 2025.
