Designates Illinois Route 49 from US Route 36 to Illinois Route 133 as the "Roger Busby Memorial Highway"

Roger Busby (1940-2013) served 12 years as an Edgar County deputy sheriff and later worked as an abuse investigator for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services until his retirement in 2006

Busby served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1967, attaining the rank of Sergeant, and graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1971

Busby was active in numerous civic and community organizations including the Illinois Police Association, American Legion, VFW, Edgar County Republicans, and various rifle associations

Requests the Illinois Department of Transportation erect plaques or signs at suitable locations along the designated highway to recognize the memorial designation
