Designates June 7, 2024 as "Global Gandhi Youth Mission Day" in Illinois to commemorate the 131st anniversary of Mohandas K. Gandhi's eviction from a train on June 7, 1893 for refusing to give up his first-class seat in a whites-only compartment.

Recognizes Gandhi's role in developing Satyagraha, a philosophy of peaceful nonviolent resistance based on the principles of Ahimsa, which influenced civil rights movements worldwide.

Acknowledges Gandhi's leadership of India's independence movement from the United Kingdom through nonviolent means and his influence on subsequent civil rights leaders including Nelson Mandela and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Encourages Illinois residents to "be the change they want to see in the world" by adopting Gandhi's principles of nonviolence and peaceful resistance.
