Illinois Senate mourns the death of Terence Joseph "Terry" Corrigan, who passed away on May 22, 2024

Corrigan was born October 7, 1955, in Streator to John and Anne Flynn Corrigan; he earned a bachelor's degree from Illinois State University and graduated magna cum laude from Southern Illinois University School of Law

Corrigan practiced law in Springfield for 40 years, working for the Illinois Supreme Court, the Office of the Illinois Attorney General, multiple law firms, and the United States Courts, and mentored new lawyers

Corrigan enjoyed American history, solving crossword puzzles, motorcycle travel, and supporting the Chicago Cubs and Bears; he was a generous uncle to eight nieces and nephews and donated to charitable causes

Corrigan is survived by his brothers Kevin and Gerald, and his sisters Sharon and Jeanne
