Taught Spanish and served as administrator and principal in Illinois School District 62 during her career

Remained active in her community after retirement, serving in leadership roles with the District 62 Foundation, P.E.O. Sisterhood, and First Congressional Church

Survived by her son Douglas (and his wife Jill), grandchildren Henry and Jesse, and sister Mickey Shemansky; was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Douglas Hubbard, and daughter Rebecca
