Sandra Chimon Rogers, Ph.D. passed away on June 24, 2024; she was born September 8, 1973 and was a resident of Homer Glen.

Earned Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from University of Illinois Chicago and graduated from Lockport Township High School.

Served as dean of the College of Professional Studies at National University of Health Sciences and conducted research in bioanalytical nuclear neurochemistry, including work on Alzheimer's disease prevention with NASA collaborations.

Held leadership positions at University of Illinois and DePaul University, served on the board of the Association of Accredited Naturopathic Medical Colleges, and was member and secretary of Lockport Township High School District 205 Board of Education at time of death.

Illinois Senate mourns her passing and extends condolences to her surviving husband, children, and loved ones.
