Illinois Senate resolution mourning the death of Frederick Wayne Allen of Cambridge, who passed away on July 22, 2024 at age 88

Wayne Allen was born February 24, 1936, graduated from Kewanee High School in 1955, and served in the U.S. military beginning in 1958

Worked throughout his career at Allen's Dairy, Allen's Restaurant, multiple dairies in Iowa, Dorhn Transfer, Schnowske & Sons Rendering Services, and United Parcel Service (UPS) in Milan, retiring in July 1995

Raised cattle from 1978 to 2013, including on his own five-acre farm in Cambridge, and served as a mechanic for stock car driver Jim Townsend at Peoria and East Moline Speedways from 1966 to 1971

Survived by his wife Sharon of 64 years, daughter Suzette, son Drew, seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and three siblings
