Rose Marie "Rosie" Hammitt of Salisbury passed away on July 19, 2024; she was born December 16, 1949 in Springfield to James and Doris Livingston and graduated from Springfield High School in 1967.

Worked over 30 combined years with the Illinois Department of Transportation and the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety, where she served as manager of the GIS computer section before retiring.

Active member of the Church of the Little Flower and the Jacksonville Antique Car Club; served on the Curran Gardner Water Board and was instrumental in bringing water service to the Salisbury community.

Enjoyed stained glass, horses, crafting, jewelry making, antique cars, motorcycles, and spending time with family and friends on the farm.

Survived by her daughter Anna Varvel and her grandchildren Brycen and Delaney Varvel, along with siblings and extended family; preceded in death by her husband Mike and her parents.
