Illinois Senate mourns the death of Tanilo H. Sandoval of East Moline, who passed away on August 19, 2024.

Sandoval was born April 2, 1926, served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and worked at John Deere Harvester East Moline for 38 years before retiring in 1983.

Served as an unofficial ambassador for Hero Street, named after eight young men who died in World War II and the Korean Conflict, and was a lifelong resident of the neighborhood.

Survived by five children, five grandchildren, one great-grandson, three step-grandchildren, nine step-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and their descendants.

Senate extends condolences to Sandoval's family and friends, and directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to his family.
