Commemorates the death of Darrell G. "Dude" Meisinger of Green Valley, who passed away on August 18, 2024.

Meisinger served as a firefighter with the Pekin Fire Department for 26 years, retiring as captain, and later worked as a supervisor with the Illinois Office of the State Fire Marshal.

Served as past president of Pekin Firefighters Local 524 and represented District 1 on the Tazewell County Board for many years.

Was an active member of multiple civic organizations including William Schaefer American Legion Post 44, Pekin Moose Family Center 916, and various community groups.

The Illinois Senate extends condolences to his surviving wife, two children, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and extended family.
